Message from the Women's Co-ordinator : Mrs. Anne Rajesh
Women’s Fellowship of St Paul’s Tamil Church (WF-SPTC) works in sync with the aims of the Pastorate Committee of the Church and is headed by the Aiyar Amma Mrs. Ruby Abraham. WF-SPTC focuses on praying for one another and also the spiritual growth the WF Members.
Every month, we meditate on a few chapters from the Bible and Mrs. Ruby Abraham encourages the WF members in writing a Q & A Paper. In this way, WF members read and meditate a portion from the Bible regularly.
Third Sunday of every month, WF-SPTC gathers after regular Divine Service at the Fellowship Garden for Fellowship Prayer & Bible meditation. Here, the focus is on praying for every member of the Church, Pastorate Committee members, Spiritual growth of Children & Youth, Various Ministries of our Church & other Mission Organisations, different needs of individual members & also for the causes of the country as a whole.
Second Saturday of the month, WF members gather at the residence of their members to pray for specific needs / causes and encourage close fellowship amongst members of the Women’s Fellowship in order to keep the focus on “praying for one another” as in Ephesians 6:18 – “…. Praying always with all prayer & supplication in the Spirit..”. WF members in the neighbourhood attend this prayer.
Annual Women’s Fest is celebrated during February. A special Guest Speaker is invited and meditation is on a specific theme, followed by various activities. Special celebration by the women of SPTC starts from active participation during the Divine Service in leading a Worship Session, Opening / Closing Prayer, Bible Reading & Intercession Prayer. During this time, WF members actively participate in the Annual Bible Exam too.
WF is actively involved in meeting the poor & destitute by visiting them as & when opportunity arises. We encourage more and more women to be a part of this ministry through St Paul’s Tamil Church-Byculla.
